The culmination of an eight-year collaboration with the BMW Designworks team, we created an in-car vision concept for a connected, battery-powered city vehicle. We collaborated with a third party to design and deploy an integrated, working automotive prototype, which was used to shape the experience of multiple vehicles including Drive 2.0, Connected Drive, and the i3 and i8 models.
Stanley Black and Decker’s ecosystem of products offers next-level features like digital levels, laser measuring, angle guidance, and auto-stop capabilities based on depth or torque. We worked with the industrial design and user interface teams for their premium DeWalt brand to prototype various Human-Machine Interface (HMI) models for rigorous user testing. The winning physical control designs were combined with our user interface design to bring unmatched ease and one-handed control to their flagship drill and other power tools in their ecosystem
We worked with Stanley Black & Decker’s Outdoor team to digitize their commercial DeWalt mower fleets and integrate hardware tracking into new management software. Our team designed and prototyped the desktop/tablet UI for regional and fleet managers and the associated display for mower drivers in the field. With the fleet manager software, commercial teams can track battery levels, see the real-time operational status, understand repair needs, minimize equipment downtime, avoid weather events, and even catch little issues before they become expensive problems.
With more than 1.5 million rooms in 86 countries, designing a Mobile Key solution that would work for all of Marriott’s 7,000+ hotels was a fun challenge. We collaborated with the Global Operations team to give guests instant access to their room and their hotel’s lobby, fitness center, pool, parking, and other spaces—all with their mobile device (including Apple Watch) and without ever stopping at the front desk.
